Less than 10 minutes from both the Heber Valley and Park City Main Street, Deer Crest is the premiere ski-oriented community in the United States with private trails that directly access Deer Valley Resort. This permits community members preferred and ideal access to some of the best ski terrain. Additionally, the St. Regis hotel resides within the community offering members both premiere dining but also access to further amenities. During the summer month, the area offers countless opportunities for recreation with hiking, cycling, world class fishing and water recreation.

Deer Crest Master Association is a homeowners association located in the Deer Crest community, an exclusive, gated residential area in Park City, Utah. The association manages the common areas and amenities within the community, which includes luxury homes, condominiums, and townhouses. It is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, landscaping, and security of the area, ensuring that the neighborhood remains well-kept and secure. To enhance the privacy and exclusivity of the community, public access by vehicle or road bikes is not permitted as a throughway from either the Park City or Jordanelle sides.
Deer Crest offers residents access to various amenities such as private ski trails, hiking paths, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The community is proud to offer access to the Deer Valley and Park City hiking and biking trail system. We ask that the public please stay on the trails to help us respect and ensure Deer Crest homeowners' privacy. The association works to uphold the high standards and quality of life expected by its residents.

Tanner Blackburn
With more than 17 years of experience in community management, Tanner has built a strong career overseeing many of Utah's residential communities. His work has spanned both Salt Lake City and Park City, where he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality service, proactive leadership, and resident satisfaction. Over the past five years, Tanner has managed the exclusive Deer Crest community. A lifelong Utah resident, Tanner has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle that define the region. He grew up exploring the Wasatch Mountains and the many lakes scattered throughout the area—experiences that have shaped both his personal values and professional perspective. Tanner now calls the Heber Valley home, where he lives with his wife and their three daughters. As an active member of the community, he brings a unique understanding of local culture, traditions, and the importance of fostering strong neighborhood connections. Tanner’s extensive industry experience, local insight, and authentic passion for community living make him a trusted and effective leader. His hands-on approach and unwavering dedication to the well-being of residents continue to set a high standard in community management.

Josh Allen
Born in Salt Lake City & raised in Heber Valley, Josh Allen grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and mountain life. As the son of Mark Allen—a longtime leader and respected figure in the Deer Crest community—Josh learned early on the value of hard work and hands-on dedication. Over the years, he’s proudly stepped into many of the roles his father once held, continuing that legacy with the same level of care and commitment. With more than 16 years at Deer Crest, Josh has become a familiar face to many homeowners, having spent much of his career overseeing security operations and coordinating key construction efforts throughout the property. His steady leadership and institutional knowledge have helped shape the community’s daily rhythm and long-term vision. When he’s not on site, Josh enjoys life as a dad to two kids, has a deep love for music, and is no stranger to the slopes—having grown up skiing Deer Valley, he’s been part of the local mountain scene for as long as he can remember.

James Pope
Born and raised in the small town of Belt, Montana, James Pope’s strong work ethic was shaped early on by long days spent working on ranches and farms, as well as the values instilled by his parents’ military background. A true outdoorsman at heart, James has been skiing since the age of five and has always felt most at home in the mountains. Before joining Deer Crest, James spent five years in the Bay Area working in the fast-paced world of tech startups as an engineer. While he loved the innovation and challenges of that space, he ultimately found his calling in a more grounded lifestyle—one that blends his professional experience with his love of the outdoors. As Community Director at Deer Crest, James brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to resident engagement and property management. He’s passionate about fostering a welcoming, well-run community and feels privileged to call the Wasatch Mountains home.
